Popping My NYC Cherry

I am en route to the airport now to board a plane that will land at Laguardia International airport at 2pm est.  I could not be more excited.  I have dreamed of going to NYC and when I was 20 and going off to photography school I was torn between Brooks in Santa Barbara or RIT (obvious where I chose).  So here I am, months away from turning 40, on my way to the Big Apple.  On top of going to NYC for the first time, I am also presenting at my first conference.  Oh my–I can’t remember having this many firsts in one night since summer camp where alcohol and bad teem choices ran rampant.

I have a whirlwind schedule set and hope to make the most of my time in the city.  I am fortunate enough to have an excellent tour guide for part of my visit.  My hub’s cousin lives in NYC and has on and off for about 15 years.  I can’t wait to touch down.  I have secured myself a window seat for the flight in and cannot wait to see the mass of buildings rise high into the sky.

This is a moment that I have been waiting for and I am pretty confident this will be an amazing first.
