Bad Parenting Moment #3255 or Let It Snow!

We had our first snowfall of the year this weekend–we ended up with about 6 inches of snow.  I live in the midwest, but with all this global warming business we haven’t gotten much snow for the past 5 or so winters.  Well, they were calling for lots of snow–I didn’t think they were right.  I was unprepared for Minnow to get to play in the snow.  So, after 2 days of snowing I decided to go to Target and get him some snow boots.  Well, I was a day late on the whole get snow boots for the kids and all that were left were pink boots.  Aren’t they cute?  They are a tad big, but I wanted Minnow to get to play in the snow.  Besides he doesn’t know that pink is a girls color. And by the time he does know, well it will be too late to change the evidence.  I mean I am posting the picture on the internet–where it will live forever.

Minnow didn’t quite know what to make of this funny white stuff at first–he didn’t see any snow last year.
But once he figure out you could touch it and not explode or die he had a blast.

Starting to Feel Like Christmas

I love Christmas.  Not only because I get presents (but come on who doesn’t love presents) but because I get to give presents and I love the smell of Christmas–trees, cookies baking, cinnamon, etc.  We spent the week end getting our house ready for Christmas.  My MIL is coming in for the holiday–she comes for Christmas every other year–and we have Christmas morning at our house.  I have to admit that I just don’t feel the Christmas spirit until my tree is up.

I am almost done Christmas shopping–I do almost all of my shopping online and I am happy to be nearly done.  I think I might have to got our to the mall and get a present or two but I won’t complain about that.   Christmas time also means that I am almost done with school as well.  My final paper is due on Wednesday, so until then I leave you with a few pictures.  We will return to our regularly scheduled drivel on Thursday…

We Love DJ Lance

from Yo Gabba Gabba.  Minnow has danced and watched the same Yo Gabba Gabba for the past hour.  Let me just say he has all of his wiggles out and I am exhausted.  I had no idea how many wiggles I had to get out.  Yeah I know, I should be doing something more creative with him. like arts and crafts, or something, but this kid loves and I mean LOVES music and dancing.  So we listen to DJ Lance and his crazy low budget character and dance our booties silly.  What could possibly be more fun???
