First, The Middle Name Meme:

Rules: You must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have. When you are tagged, you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name game facts. This one is tricky as I legally changed my middle name and replaced it with my maiden name when I got married.  But I still feel an attachment to my given middle name as it was mine for 29+ years so I guess I will use that.

Media Blasphemy…

I have heard of such an urban legend as have we all of those “friends” who don’t have or watch TV.  But of course I didn’t believe it.  The world would soon stop spinning if such a thing were true.  Well sadly I have to say that there are 3 people in one of my graduate classes that don’t even own tvs.  I can’t frickin’ believe it.  I would go insane.  I love TV and I am not afraid to say it.  I love TV and thank goodness for tivo–we have two of them so if I really wanted I could record 4 shows every hour.  I don’t…well at least not very often.  I have always loved TV. I have to say that it calms me.  It provides a nice little escape for me.  I’ll put it bluntly…I love to be entertained.   I use to read for entertainment and then I became an English major and reading became work and then I became an English teacher and reading as well as reading about reading became work and instead of drinking I chose TV.  I think that is a good choice.

So fess up out there…do you love TV or not?  Do you let you kiddos watch?  Mine is addicted to SpongeBob (first thing he asks for in the morning after dada).

Now we all like to have comments.  It makes us feel special and lets us know that there really are people out there in blog land reading what we are writing.  We also all know that some posts lend themselves more to comments than to others.  But for the sake of my own ego–as well as others…Schmutzie and some other bloggers have decided that tomorrow–Wednesday is the Great Mofo Delurk.  So for all of you who are reading this…leave me a comment–even it is just your URL and a generic hello.  I want to know who you are.  You know me…it only seems fair.
