Degree of Loserness

It only took me 7+ years to buy and hang curtains on the front windows of our house.  So, for all of you who are driving or walking by at night, that is right–you can no longer watch our too big for our house tv nor watch me walk around naked…I know upsetting isn’t it?

It is nice to finally 1 have some privacy and 2 feel like a grown up in my own house 7 years later….

I will write a list of all the things in our house that it has taken us 7 years or even more to do.  My degree of loserness will defintely increase exponentially.

  1. Tee hee. My requirement when we were buying a house was “one I can walk around in naked and not have to worry about the neighbors watching…” Bryan’s was “somewhere I can throw the football around.” We’re both very deep :)I believe curtains are for decoration, I never actually close them (unless Amelie is taking her nap or the sun is threatening to ruin our couch again). Looking forward to the rest of your list!

  2. This makes me feel so good! I’ve been in my house for almost a year, and still have boxed left to unpack… very depressing. But now I know I have 6 more years to get it all done. 🙂

  3. It took me almost 5 years to clean the windows inside and out. They were so dirty I think they acted as curtains! Now we do still need to order some blinds.

  4. Hey – we lived in our basement for the first 6 months in our house while it took that ENTIRE time to re-do the floors upstairs. (It would have taken the floor-layers 2 days.) I never cared b/c then I didn’t have to decorate. There is still nothing on my walls in the bedroom and our front room curtains were a gift. (Surprisingly not from the neighbor who was probably sick of seeing Kevin walk around naked – he’s the one who does that around here. Hopefully he won’t mind me telling the world? NAH!)
