Andi wrote this amazing post about women, motherhood and equality. It speaks to me as a woman, wife and mother. It has helped me accept that what I want is what is best for my child and that society has such a long way to go before we have any real semblance of male/female equality. Thanks Andi.

I know this is a little picky, but I often get tired of being called a stay-at-home mom when women who work outside of the home are called working moms. I’m a working mom! I work my butt off everyday, just in a different way. Anyway, just my little tidbit.

Kristen I totally agree with you. We are so quick to label women in our society–men too but to a much lesser extent. I am so many things and much more than just a stay-at-home mom or a working mom. If only I could be just one of those. I have had to make myself not use the term stay-at-home mom. I dislike it, but it has become the term we use. Now when people ask me what I do-I tell them I raise my son.
