Bad Parenting Moment #15,652

So, I go to get Minnow this morning after he wakes up.  I find his bed sheets/pillow and his clothes somewhat covered in puke.  His puke.  Either he did it in his sleep or we just didn’t hear him.  How awful is that?

On a positive note…Peepers did sleep a lot last night.  This two kid thing is hard and it’s only day 3.  Crap!

  1. If it makes you feel any better Supergirl once did that in her crib. I went to check on her early in the morning and found her shivering so badly and completely soaked in her own puke. It was very sad 😦
I recently told one of my friends that going from one kid to two made parenting turn from fun to work… But it does get easier.
    I promise

  2. It would even be understandable if you found yourselfin that condition in the morning, wondering what happened! New babies and no sleep require standards to be lowered…hope you are getting some rest and Minnow is feeling okay and that Peepers’ appointment goes well.

    Thinking of you!

  3. I hope Minnow is feeling better! I forgot to mention in my last comment what worked well for us in terms of getting used to the new sibling–try to make him feel as “big” as possible–have him help you with bottles, laundry, etc. etc. Keep reminding him how Peepers CAN’T help because she’s just a baby. Amelie was ALL over this. And now she’s actually helpful–when she sees laundry on the floor, she brings it to the hamper. When he’s crying, she gives him his pacifier and jiggles his bouncy chair. She even tells me when I’m not burping him right :). Someone likes to be in charge.

  4. All I can say is…You’re not alone! It is hard! But the good news is that they are too young to remember most of these moments that make us feel like we are losing our minds! Hang in there : )

  5. It’s happened to us too…more than once. As soon as I opened the door I could smell it. Poor Minnow. Hope he is feeling good now and you are getting some good rest. Can’t wait to see your pictures and hear about your trip. Only 4 more days until my baby girl comes home.
