I Love The Ocean

We arrived in St. Maarten yesterday and I have to say the my children could not possibly travel better.  No one cried on either flight–a two-hour flight and a 4-hour flight.  I couldn’t believe how well they did.

The house we have rented is amazing and we have an awesome breath-taking….

“J saw some wild dogs…Curt and I call them goats”

Just wanted to memorialize the above comment. I have to say traveling with my family is pretty hilarious.  We are the kind of siblings that really get immense joy out of ridiculing each other.  It’s very fun and makes for a lot of laughing and good times.

Noah has some weird bumps on his face.  I don’t know what the hell they are.  The popped up yesterday and look like small hives.  But then they dissappeared and then popped back up.

Anyway this post has totally gotten side-tracked.  But, we are having fun and I’ll post more later.

Just wanted to say–I love the ocean.

  1. So glad you’re away with the well-behaved set of children. I’m wild with jealousy over your trip to paradise.

And Noah–could it be sunburn? Both of my tots get a rashy/pimply looking kind of sunburn–it’s pretty common among darker-skinned people.

Or maybe it’s the mysterious rash Meklit got that came/went/came–go crazy looking and disappeared all over a 48 hour period (we think it’s a veggie booty issue–Arrgh!)

  2. Could the bumps be sunburn? I’ve read that is one way to tell if black skin gets sunburn. Awesome that they are such great travelers. Can’t wait to see pics!

  3. Hooray! I’m very jealous, too. Are you using different bath/body products on the road? Amelie would get the same thing everytime we travelled, and we just kept chalking it up to new place/weird allergies, until we ran out of all our little Aveda travel sized toiletries and realized it was that!
