Letters

Noah’s class is doing a unit on letters. The kids are fascinated with letters and write notes (draw pictures) in class and put them in each others mailboxes.

They recently write letters to pen pals at a neighboring school. It’s cute.

I love letters. I shared with Noah that I have all my letters/notes from high school. While he can’t read them noelr should he, we talked how special letters and communicating in writing is. Maybe he’ll be a letter writer for life.

  1. His teachers dictated the spelling to the kids but helping them match a letter with the sound when appropriate. Noah practices writing every day. He is so eager to read and be able to write on his own. I wish I had more to work with him.

  2. Letter writing is the best. My bff and I met when we were four years old and he moved away when we were still kids. We’re so lucky that we still have our letters, and that we’re still bffs. Of course this was BEFORE texting, email, etc. etc. etc.
